Rhode Island Business and Creditor’s Rights Attorneys

60 years of creative solutions

When our predecessors founded this law firm 60 years ago, it was a general practice firm. Over time, we have adapted and narrowed our practice. For more than 20 years, our firm has focused almost exclusively on business and personal injury litigation. Our lawyers deal with business disputes and personal injury matters so that our clients can rest easy. We fight to protect their interests, keeping them informed at every step. If your business faces litigation, contact Strauss, Factor, Laing & Lyons to discuss your case with an experienced business litigation lawyer.

Giving back to the community

Rhode Island has been very good to us. It has given us a wonderful place to raise our families and an opportunity to run a business that we love. In exchange, we provide some services pro bono. We are active in the American and Rhode Island Bar Associations, Inns of Court, the Adjudicative Society, the Defense Research Institute and the Commercial Law League.

Civil Rights

We believe that civil rights ought to belong to everyone, not just those who can pay for them. We work with the local American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) affiliate, and through it, with individuals and other organizations such as local grassroots organizations like Direct Action for Rights and Equality, or DARE. The cases we handle involve due process issues. If someone loses a government right or benefit, but did not receive adequate notice, or the hearing was patently unfair, we are sometimes asked to represent that person. We ensure that the government adheres to due process before depriving anyone of a right or privilege.
